Hermes Bag New Prices

Hermes. If you’re a die-hard fashionista or even follow the fashion world remotely, you’ll surely recognize this name. The French manufacturer has been around since 1837, the first handbags being released during the mid-2oth century. Nowadays the company is noted for their glamorous bags, being the icon of high-style, wealth, and success.

Buyer restriction by Hermes in Paris is not new; one person can only buy two bags a year. You can have one Birkin or Kelly and the second bag is a free choice.

Hermes Birkin Bags
In 1984 the Hermes Birkin Bag was born. Beginning as a supple leather bag for actress and singer Jane Birkin, the bag quickly rose in popularity and is now the symbol of wealth, class, and fashion. It’s highly recognizable design makes it a staple of the fashion industry and it’s gorgeous craftsmanship gives it the appeal every fashionista dreams about.

Every inch of the Hermes Birkin Bag is handcrafted in France, from the gorgeous exterior available in a variety of authentic skins and colors to the roomy, matching interior. The bag boasts saddle stitching which embraces its roots from the beginning of Hermes, back in the 19th century. Finished with a stunning gold (or palladium) plated lock and key, the Hermes Birkin Bag is undoubtedly the staple of success and trend.

Sizes are numbered in 25, 30, 35 and 40. These are centimeters, so 25 means 25 centimeter. Birkin 50 and 55 are exceptional; they are much larger and best used for travelling instead of shopping or as an everyday bag.

Birkin uses calf, crocodile, ostrich and lizard leathers, colors available are white, black, gold, orange, navy blue, olive green, pink, red, brown and baby blue.

There is more demand for Hermes Birkin bag than supply, that’s why they are so-hard to find. Each Birkin is hand-made with impeccable craftsmanship and precision.

Hermes personally offers a special treatment for used Birkin bags. They call it the ‘spa treatment’. It is actually a reconditioning service they provide.

Hermes Kelly Bags
The Hermes Kelly Bag is a recognizable elegant bag that is iconic to the Hermes industry. Although created in 1936, the bag didn’t truly become popular until 1956 when Grace Kelly showcased her alluring bag. It was at that moment the Hermes Kelly Bag would rise to its popularity and become the fashion must-have it is today.

The bag showcases a sense of undeniable style, yet is notably one of the finer and more sophisticated bags on the market, a bag you carry on your arm to fancy events rather than toying around downtown with your friends. And while the bag is remarkably similar to the Hermes Birkin Bag, the Kelly has its own sense of style with a firmer rectangular shape free of slouching. The Kelly is also handcrafted with a single handle rather than two.

Also, the sales associate told me that the leather on my bag is not called swift leather, it is a more durable version of swift leather. Do you know what that leather is called? I will insert a picture below. Thanks.

Do you know if Hermes will adjust their prices (raise euros and lower Asia prices) like chanel did?

And will they adjust the prices in pounds since euro dropped so much? Since I know they adjusted the accessories prices (lowered in pounds) at the beginning of January

    • Lily March 23, 2015 Reply

I am afraid Hermes will not follow the decision of Chanel. It’s really only Chanel.

    • Birkinbag March 19, 2015 Reply

Sorry it sounds kind confusing, to be more clear, after you picked leather and all that stuff, but they have to make the bag for you, so do you pay in full, or just pay a down payment first? And pay the rest when you pick up the bag? Thank you!

      • Kelly March 22, 2015 Reply

What do you mean make the bag for you? I think you are talking about the waiting list. You only paid for the bag once it arrives at the store and you are ready to pick it up. No downpayments.

    • Lily February 28, 2015 Reply

To confirm, the Butler leather should look like Barenia leather (first impression), but it’s not because the leather is much smoother and not tanned the same way. It should more like the tadelakt leather. Please check for reference:

are boutiques in the uk still willing to call u for birkins and kellys etc when they have stocks if they know you are a tourist? Or they usually just want to reserve it for their local customers

and do they check your name and record in their system to see your purchase history to determine whether they call u for birkins; in this sense, does it matter when i buy stuff but usually under my bf’s name etc so when i leave my own contact details they will not see my purchase history

Do u have the GBP price for 32 kelly?
Is it harder to get 32 kelly or 30 birkin?

Which London store has most chance to get those? Any possibility for walk ins?

    • CC January 7, 2015 Reply

You can walk in, but it depends on luck whether they have the kelly or birkin in stock. Go talk to the SA, usually the bag is in the back, not in the store. All the prices you see above are the latest we can find, Hermes will be increasing prices soon, so we need to update them later on.

May i know which cities gives u a good chance of scoring a kelly or birkin? I have been to probably 30 H boutiques in various cities, in countries ranging from italy, singapore, hong kong, england, US, korea but i hv never seen one for sale. The closeset i ever got to was in HK when they call to offer me a Kelly but it was not a color i liked. And thats after months of buying few other bags (including a m ns croc) n accessories. I have heard Paris and Tokyo give u a decent chance. Any one been there in recent months to confirm this? Happy hunting for ur fav bag.

and when about last month did u go?

          • Joey January 8, 2015

From Sloane Street Store. I always go and check. Didn’t buy anything that time but my aunt has a good relationship with a SA =)

          • Hermes January 8, 2015

You are so lucky to get all those birkins and kelly!

          • J January 9, 2015

I’m sorry!! I don’t remember the name of the SA at all, I just recognise her face as she is there all the time. I’m actually going to sell a 32 Kelly in Etoupe clemence amazone that I’ve got back in 2010. Its like brand new as I have it sent to the SPA through H shop in London for me, they have put a brand new turn lock (mine is a PHW). They were all amazed by how well I have keep the bag, so they did not charge me anything for it! So happy about it.

I just saw the garden party bag as 2650 approx in euros in Netherlands… Why is there the big difference between the retail price and your listed price for dec2014?
And apparently there is already another price increase

    • CC January 4, 2015 Reply

Hi, tthe price of the Hermes Garden Party in Large size is 2650 euro’s right? The list does not include the prices of the large size of Garden Party.

      • Anonymous January 4, 2015 Reply

I thought there was only size small and medium for the leather garden party bag?
Are the prices in the list the most accurate prices then?

        • CC January 5, 2015 Reply

The question above was already asked by someone else, here’s a copy of the comment:

          Are your prices accurate??
Because today I was in Netherlands Hermes and the garden party large size was 2650 euros and they told me tomorrow they will raise prices again
But the price you wrote on the site for the large garden party is a lot lower ?

The person said the large size Garden Party is 2650 euro’s, so I answered based on this comment.

But Hermes is increasing prices very soon, so we need to update later on. But the prices listed above are accurate, not made up.

Hi. I came across a website selling a leather+toile birken 30 and kelly 32. The leather is natural barenia and toile is a khaki color canvas. Do leather/canvas birkens and kellys exist and how do i know if they are authentic? On the birken, there’s a stamp under the Hermes logo (shown in attached photo), and the website says it’s “Personal number of Hermes’ artisan under the embossed logo. This bag indicates that the bag was made especially for this Hermes’ employee.” Is it true?
If authentic, how well do leather/canvas birken or kelly hold their shapes over time? How are their resale values?

I’m in Hong Kong at the moment and it seems when I ask about the bit kin it’s much like the answer I get back in the states “don’t have any at the moment” I’m looking for something simple in at least 25 Iraqis 30 how can I find an associate which will not shrug me off?

          • Vicky November 2, 2014

            Hi Daze,

Not exactly sure what you mean by “25 iraqis 30?” Let me know which Birkin you’re looking for including the size and color so I may inquire with my connections to see what’s currently available.

Please add me via WeChat as my user name is “H919919.” Talk to you soon…

            Hi Daze,

Ok, just WeChat me or msg me on this thread in the colors you’re interested in. I have one in mind for you and it’s a Birkin Togo 30 Blue de Galice. Also have a Birkin Togo 25 Turquoise. Just Google it and you’ll see the pics. Attached is an example of the Birkin Togo 30.

Both come with original receipt as most of the Hermes I sell comes with an original receipt.

Do you have WeChat or WhatsApp? What’s your email?

Hi Fie Huang, this bag is a slightly more expensive than the togo. The current togo price is: €6200 euro’s

        • Fiehuang September 28, 2014 Reply

I know alex.. That’s why I need to know the price in europe for references. Because Im going to buy but still dont know yet whether to purchase in epsom sellier or togo. But most of my friends suggest me to take epsom sellier for the leather is much suitable and good for kelly bag

          • Alex October 2, 2014

Hi Fiehuang, the difference is not so much, but it’s something personal and depends on the size. Epsom is gorgeous with ghw and is lighter than togo.

Hi Felly, you got a vintage piece, but its hard to say about the sales price. Depending on the condition, it can be sold at least $3,000 USD

Hi Felly, I think Hermes can make it look better, they made the leather, I think its best to go there to ask for advice. If the price is reasonable of course.

        Hi Al
YES it’s much harder to find a constance then a Birkin.
I live in Paris and the Birkin you can find in Paris but the constance is soooo limited and last time i asked they said that it can go 3-5 months between 1 constance bag. But Kelly and Birkin they have almost every week!!!

        • Kev January 8, 2015 Reply

Yes Lisa u are right. A senior SA in beverly hills just told me same. That Constance is much more harder to get than a B or K.

      • Melissa June 1, 2014 Reply

Well mine was just pure luck.
I bought a garden party a few months back for my mom and just told my SA that I am looking for an Etoupe Birkin and he didn’t put me on the waiting list. Just kept an eye on stocks and when it came yesterday he called me and well I am picking up my baby tomorrow. Its a togo :)

        • Alex June 1, 2014 Reply

Pfff what a story, how much is the Birkin and can you please share a picture for the community?

ps. Togo is a great choice, it’s lighter than Clemence, togo is made from leather from an adult bull, it has a crispy feeling, grain is a bit smaller.

Togo is a durable leather itself, it’s very hard, you shouldn’t do much pampering, do little or nothing. When it’s time for maintenance, take it back to Hermes for refurbishment or any treatments.

          • maurizio June 15, 2014

sorry to contradict you but what u said is the opposite togo is small veal about 18\22 sq.feet and turillon clemence is a bull size 30/ 35 sq.feet

          • Alex June 17, 2014

Hi Maurizio, thanks for pointing this out! =)

i am in LONDON and store mangers are really rude, i go every day to search Kelly but they treated me dishonestly, they are very good in lying and say no we dont have but they do have and they just sell for who they know or who pay them tip! actually i started hate this brand , way we are humiliating our self for bag! after 3 weeks searching all stores every day i decide do not humiliate my self any more . i can punches any thing i wont with dignity and luxury style rather than treated as beggar by those mangers.

    • Anonymous May 31, 2014 Reply

I completely agree with you!! It’s horrible the way we humilliate ourselves for this. It’s like we are asking someone to give us the bag for free and not paying for it this huge amount of money.. How horrible this is.. There are starving people in this world and aren’t they ashamed to behave this way. They should kiss our asses for being prepared to give this much for a bag..

    • H-fanatic June 1, 2014 Reply

Hi Daisy, i understand ur frustration in failing to score a K in london after trying so hard for 3 wks. I am a male collector and became a big fan 2 years ago. Most weekends i would make my trips to H stores to check out what they have. Say in past year alone, i must have visited at least 25 different H stores, some repeatedly for weeks, around the world ( mostly London, HK, Singapore, Italy, australia) but i have never seen a kelly or birkin offered for sale openly.because the demand far outstrips supply. U have two options. Buy from a reseller at some 20-30 percent premium or become a valued customer at a particular store by buying “enough” of their higher margin, less demamded non bags stuff (scarves, rings, watches, clik claks, CDCs). Ater each purchase, they record ur particulars, this is to track ur purchasing power and ranking. After one yr of buying many non bags stuff, i finally became their vip of sorts. I have been offered 2 kellys by the store in past 3 months, which i turned down due to the color. Both routes have their pros and cons. Buying from H boutique gives u peace of mind but u end up having or learning to appreciate their non bag stuffs. Buying from reseller allows u to choose the size and color u want at a premium, but runs the risk of getting a fake

      • Anonymous June 11, 2014 Reply

Really wanted to get Herbag for my daughter, graduating in few mths. She’s a die-hard fan not me. Not avail in Hermes selfridges yesterday. Think SA here are really selective of their customers cos we dressed like tourist. Been driving around UK for 2wks… So tired and exhausted and leaving in 3 days.

      • clara June 21, 2014 Reply

“Failing” to score is so part & parcel with the manufactured hierarchy Hermes has worked so hard to create. It’s a ridiculous mind game that makes most reasonable people say, “forget this.” The reseller route has a plentiful supply & there are many excellent sellers & authentication services that can ensure your purchase.

Can anyone inform me the price of constance 18″ and 24″ in market nowsaday? And also lindy clemence 26″ and 30″ and can anyone reference what kind of leather is the best? Thanks

    • Alex May 29, 2014 Reply

Hi Fie, you can find the latest price on the top, the constance 24′ is Epsom; $9,050 USD (+ tax).

      Lindy 26: Clemence; €4300 euro’s
      Lindy 30: Clemence; €4800 euro’s

Leather is durable and strong, but it depends on your preference. Clemence is made from the hide of a young bull and it’s softer and squishy.

      • Fie May 30, 2014 Reply

        Hi Alex!
        Thanks for your reply..

Can you inform more about constance’s leather. What kind of leather do you suggest to choose and buy..? Im thinking to have one but I have zero information about constance. And which country that offer much cheaper price at hermes store? Paris? Italy? Berlin? Or US? Thanks before :)

        • Alex June 1, 2014 Reply

Generally, the prices are the same in all European countries, but to compare EU with US, it depends on the sales tax. Some US states don’t require you to pay sales tax and in Europe you can get vat-refund.

About the leather, Epsom are usually cheaper, the leather feels a bit like plastic, but it holds shape and are weather resistance. Hermes swift is very soft, it goes well in smaller bags, if you are careful person, the Hermes swift is ideal.

          • Fie June 1, 2014

            Hi alex!

Can you please help me to chart from
Top to bottom the leathers of Hermes (except exotic ones)? I need more informations about that since I know the ne of leather but I have no idea about the leathers and about the care(maintainance) thanks

          • Alex June 3, 2014

            The most famous ones:

            Togo, baby calf leather
            Clemence, young bull leather
            Epsom, embossed leather
            Fjord, adult cow hide
            Evercalf, grain to box
            Evergrain, embossed evercalf

There are much more, we will create an one list article later on. But the Constance are usually in Epsom.

          • Alex September 21, 2014

Hello! Can you help me with the price of the evelyne bag? From what I’ve checked online it seems Paris has the cheapest price. 2230 euros for the 33 cm on the website. Can you tell me if this price is inclusive of tax? If so then I can claim my tax on the bag if I buy it from Paris :) also what is your feedback on the bag? It would be my first Hermes (I can’t afford any other Hermes bag!). Would you consider it as good buy?

    • Alex May 10, 2014 Reply

Hi Hanadi, the price you spotted on Hermes website is VAT included. And yes, you can claim the tax back of 12 – 13 percent. The price of the bag you spotted is €2.230. The Garden party, Picotin and double sens are in the same price range. I also want you to check out the Hermes Herbag Zip:

Which is more popular, in your price range, but not easier to get.

        Hi Alex,
My friend will be visiting Milan, Venice and Paris this end of May. I ask her to buy me a Lindy. Is it easy to score a Lindy in Hermes store in one of the 3 cities above? If we call the SA first to check is it available, would they hold the item till the day we reach the city? Beside clemence skin, is Lindy also available in Togo? Thank u so much

        • Alex May 14, 2014 Reply

Hi Jenny, this depends on the SA, some are nice and will mark down your name and number, but I’ve heard some are rejected. But in Europe, it can be done. About the Hermes Lindy, it’s in togo as well as swift. I cannot say much about the stock, but it’s not as hard as the Birkin or Kelly.

    • xin May 14, 2014 Reply

      Hi Hanadi,
Yes, you can claim back the VAT for Hermes product you buy in Europe. Is 10% VAT refund.

      • Matt May 23, 2014 Reply

        It’s 13% in Italy

  67. Tommy Lim May 7, 2014 Reply

Hello all! Can anyone please tell me where is the best price for hermes in europe country ? I’m planning to go there soon! Is it england or france ? Please give me some information. Thank

    • Nina May 8, 2014 Reply

Hi Tommy. England is not part of EURO. Therefore you cannot be making comparison between England and France. France, Germany, Spain, Italy and few other countries are using EUR. The prices for Hermes products are the same in these countries. The only different is the VAT refund. probably 1% different in the refund amount. :-)

    Hi Alex!
I have decided to bite the bullet and “order” my first Birkin!! At first I liked the Etoupe but dont love the white stitching. So after doing my homework of hours browsing all the pics on internet I will go for the Birkin 30 Etain in Togo leather.

Do u know the latest price of the Birkin 30 Togo or is it still €6200? Also if there is a price increase between the time I put myself on the waiting list and the time Im actually getting the bag, will I have to pay for the actual price or the price they quoted at the time I “order” it?

    Thanks so much!!!

    • Alex April 28, 2014 Reply

Hi Melissa, I think the Etain is a good choice, perfect for daily use. If the Birkin increased in price, you will have to pay the new price, because you are not making an order, but you are on the waiting list. The Birkin 30 Togo is now priced at €6500 euros. When will you get on the waiting list? Keep us updated =) btw where are you from?

      • Melissa April 28, 2014 Reply

Thanks for the price update Alex!! I hope the price will be below €7000 when I finally receive it!
I will put myself on the “wish list” end of May. My goal is to get my first Birkin before my 40th Bday (in 2016)! Considering the waiting it should be OK. CROSSING TOES AND FINGERS!!!
I’m also debating one of the Blue “neutrals” such as Bleu Orage. Think both colors should be OK as a “neutral” first Birkin.

I know that u should build some kind of “relationship” with the SA so my first Hermes order would be one if the bracelet or Twillys, which are the only ones I can afford at the moment.

I’ll definitely keep u posted abt my Birkin adventure :) :)
I’m from the Netherlands by the way.

        • Alex April 30, 2014 Reply

About the Blue, here’s a quick guide between Blue de Galice and Thalassa blue:

Keep us updated, I am also curious whether and how long the waiting list is, you know sometimes SA do have a Birkin in stock, and they get one out from the back, but then it’s take it or leave it, you can’t decide the color or leather.

        • xin May 14, 2014 Reply

You can get the bag or order one from any SA in Hermes in the Netherlands? This is different from France. Those who sell scarfs will only serve the section and bag (even for small wallet) serve by bag section SA. If in your country where SA serve all section, it will be good and easier to have good relationship with them though.

          • Melissa May 15, 2014

Boutiques in Netherlands are soooo small so we dont have an SA for each section. Owise they’ll be bores to death :)
Oh and I went earlier for my order: May 8th and put my name for the Birkin 30 Togo in Blue Saphir :) SA told me that Blue Saphir is a season color so I think they will just offer me any dark blue when it becomes available for me.
I hope I’ll get it within a year :) gosh the waiting is already killing me. LOL

          • xin May 15, 2014

            Hi Melissa,
At you they put you on waitlist. No way in Asia. SA here said Birkin will be 4 years wait, Kelly will be 3 years. But they also mentioned they can’t even fulfil the list in 2008/2009, they wait is actually more than 5 years. And no more waitlist taken here.

Hope you got your dream birthday present by next year latest.

I regretted never grab the birkin in the store recently!! :(

          • Melissa May 15, 2014

Yes I have heard that the Birkin is almost impossible to get in Asia! Or u have to try the Hermes boutiqe in Paris. Another option would be Hermes reseller in Tokyo L’ecrin! They have lots of Birkins. However, the price range is almost double the price in Europe. For example Birkin 30 is about 13000 Euro. But then you dont have to buy anything else in the shop and you can take it home immediately :) and they have lots of colors available!!
Or you can get a second hand in great condition? Have you tried Designer Vintage? Every now and then they have Birkins in excellent condition!

Maybe thats even cheaper than fly all the way to Paris.
I hope you will get your dream bag soon!

          • xin May 15, 2014

            Hi Melissa,
I got the Kelly in Europe in May! So left Birkin to complete my Hermes range.

Yes, L’ecrin has lot of stock but I can wait.

Yes, you do not need to buy anything from the store to get Birkin, Kelly or Lindy in Europe at all. It’s all luck. I walked in the Hermes Shop for the first time in my life in Europe and I got my K. The rest is hubby bought it.

And I got the CDC in Aligator leather as well.

Hi I would like to enquire whats the differences between Clemence or Togo..its my first time purchasing, so hopefully can get a rough idea.
    Thank you

    • Alex April 19, 2014 Reply

I answered this question before, somewhere on this site… but anyway:

Clemence is made from the hide of a young bull while the Togo is made from an adult bull. The difference is actually your personal preference and how you want your bag to feel. You see, Clemence is soft and squishy and it’s also a bit heavier than the togo.

The togo got a crisper feeling, it has better shape because the leather is strong imo. you will also notice the grains (the little dots) to be smaller than clemence. Does this answer your question?

  70. Matt April 18, 2014 Reply

I’m really interested in a 40cm birkin in epsom…also, does the price change between colors? these are my choices -> black, etain, etoupe, gold, graphite, vert veronese. does anyone know the price (preferably in euros?)

    • Alex April 19, 2014 Reply

Hi Matt, usually the prices change in leather and print, not in colors. The Hermes Birkin 40 in Sellier Epsom was retailing for : €6400 last year. We heard its right now: €8050. Keep us updated.

      • Matt April 21, 2014 Reply

:O omg that’s a crazy difference! I thought epsom was supposed to be the cheapest leather right?

        • Alex April 21, 2014 Reply

Yes the epsom is the cheapest leather, but almost similar to the togo/clemence. Just to give you an indication; the Birkin 35 Togo is priced at €7.100 euro as per feb. 2014.

          • Matt May 8, 2014

Also, what about other pricing on leathers such as vache liegee or swift, also on a 40cm birkin? Which leather do you think will be the best “investment” between those three?

          • Alex May 10, 2014

Hi Matt, Hermes Birkin 40 cm in Ghilles Swift is retailing at 9450 as per may 2014. I have no info on the vache liegee, but I will advice togo because the color on this leather is more vibrant and because it hold shape. Epsom is rigid and can be scratched.

          • Matt May 11, 2014

I think I’m going to go for the swift (I am too worried togo might have veining and epsom might not take darker colors well). How do you think the process will work to order it? I am probably going to the Milan or Turin store soon. I have not purchased anything there because I usually just buy things at H boutiques in airports although I do need a belt kit so I’ll buy it the same time I’ll ask for the birkin in Milan or Turin. How should I ask for one and do you think they will just let me order it or will they simply say they can’t?

          • Alex May 12, 2014

Hi Matt, The Hermes Birkin are usually very hard to get, so far I never heard a H boutique at airport stock Birkins, but you might need to get on the waiting list.

          • Matt May 23, 2014

Yes, I am not planning on the airport boutiques but I am going to the Milan or Turin store (not in the airport). Any tips on getting it?

          • Alex May 25, 2014

Hi Matt, its hard to say, sometimes we get stories from the community that they are lucky and the SA took a Birkin out of the stock. But you must ask, keep us updated.

          • Matt July 1, 2014

Update: I went to the Turin Hermes store and they were super nice, as I spoke to the SA about belts and the leathers they come in, I then asked her about their birkin, HAC, kelly depeche, Steve, CDC stock and she said there were none, I then asked her about special orders, she was not at all secretive about the special orders (probably because of my Hermes knowledge :D) and said I could come in during July or February as the store managers go to Paris to put in the special orders!! (and at this point I did not purchase anything at the store and I am not even a regular customer). Two days later I went in to purchase a belt kit although I didn’t speak about it that day. I now decided on color, size, stitching, hardware and all that and hopefully she’ll still be willing to put mine on order.
One day I also went to the Milan store and they only had on display sac a depeche, alfreds, and a red 40cm kelly in swift high up on display (it was way too slouchy so it steered me away from swift.)

          • Alex July 1, 2014

Hi Matt, I do not think they sell the Kelly on the display, but even if you would, a full price of a sample bag, I do not want to bet on it.

          • Matt July 6, 2014

I did not ask to see the kelly since I wasn’t really interested. But are you sure 40 epsom is 8050 (the same price as Togo) or is it less? Also, I didn’t ask pricing on SOs, but do you think they charge extra as a regular 40 epsom?

          • Alex July 7, 2014

We got this information from a recent shopper.

      • Alex April 19, 2014 Reply

Hi Belle, Togo holds better shape while Clemence is softer but also heavier. The grains on the Togo is smaller than clemence and it gives also a crisper feeling. If you need a bigger bag, then Togo is your choice.

    • Alex April 19, 2014 Reply

Hi Lindy, sorry for the confusion (we probably misplaced the prices), we are going to update the prices very soon. Just a quick answer to your question – you’re being offered a Hermes Lindy Togo, we do not think Hermes has made the Lindy in Togo in the past. So the one you’re being offered is probably fake.

Hi Buns22, I try to answer your questions:

      As per 10 okt 2013:
Hermes Herbag Zip 31 Bag: $2,250 USD
Hermes Herbag Zip 39 Bag: $2,450 USD

It should be a bit more expensive right now.

      Size 31 bag is 31 x 25 x 10 in cm (L x H x D)
      Size 39 bag is 39 x 31 x 15 in cm (L x H x D)

The colors you mentioned: Rose Hortensia & Blue Izmir are not new colors, I’ve seen them before.

Material choices we know: Canvas with calfskin and Canvas toile officier.

First I would check the prices, usually the reseller wants to make a profit, especially because sometimes you need to wait one year before getting this bag.

Hi Liy, if you can go for Kelly! If you’re around 5 feet tall, the 28 would be perfect and the colors… avoid colors like flamingo cause its hard to maintain, black, orange, blue are good (for the kelly).

Heading to London, Venice, Rome and Milan and a couple of weeks. What would be easier to find as a walk in. A Birkin or a Kelly? Is it true you need to be very specific about what you want when you ask an SA? Or is it alright to just straight up ask if they have a B or a K and take whatever they have?

    I would appreciate any tips!

    • Alex March 23, 2014 Reply

Hi Juana, from experience it’s not easy to get the Birkin and Kelly, the supply is very low. Usually people need to get into the waiting list and if they do hv a birkin or kelly, there’s not much choices of leather and style. You can try ask the SA straight up.

    • Alex March 9, 2014 Reply

Hi Bren, I think you mean the Hermes Herbag Zip. No it’s not discontinued, I advice you to call the boutique in prior to check for stock. The colors and so on really depend on the stock, the prices also depend on the leather:

Hermes Herbag MM in Canvas toile officier cost €1490, the Canvas with calfskin is priced at €1620.

Prices are with VAT, you can around 12 – 14% tax refund in Paris, London and Barcelona. Keep us informed.

Hi Rosi, I really like the color flamingo, but its like white and hard to maintain. I would trade it for a better color so its more durable. I do not fear its difficult to maintain, but I fear it will change into diff. color overtime.

The kelly is hard to get, I am still on the waiting list. I just got the Hermes Herbag after one year. You can also try consignment stores, but I recommend to buy straight from the Hermes store. There is no need to take risk.

Hi, we need to update the prices of Hermes, because there is an increase of around 10% due to demand of leather. The Hermes togo Birkin is retailing for 7.100 euros

          • Noor February 9, 2014

Just would like to add some updates about latest price increases,

After waiting for less than a year, yesterday my SA called and offered me herbag color orange size 31 which i was waiting for (they added my name 1 yr ago and told me it will take 2 yrs and a half) but was lucky to get it in less time 😀

However, the price of herbag size 31cm last year was 680KD which approx. $2400.
2 days ago herbag price increased to KD785 approx. $2775

Last month I bought So Kelly 22′ around $7000 double colors int. navy and ext. greenish blue i dnt knw wht its called its the new hermes color.

and I ordered kelly bag which i’ve been told i’ll have to wait for 3 yrs .

          • Alex February 12, 2014

Hi Noor, thanks for your update. I didn’t know that you needed to wait for the Herbag Zip, you’ve been very patient. I hope you will get the Kelly bag, it’s a headache for many girls, because the waiting is so long. Do you want to share a picture of the So Kelly and Herbag Zip? Would love to do a feature.

Hi Melissa, the Lindy is not as popular as the Birkin and Kelly. To get the Birkin you either get lucky or be patient. My friend have waited for 1 year now on the wiating list. You should call the boutique to check their stock, usually you don’t need to wait to get Lindy bag.

Hi Kat, for how much did you buy it and where? Consignment stores would love to buy it from you, but you can get better return imo if you sell it yourself. But I would meet the buyer in person, for safety.

Alex, thank you for your reply. The bag was bought in Paris, but I do not know how much it was bought for since it was a present. What is the original price do you know by any chance. They do now make this bad anymore and I was told it is quite rare.

I’m going london next month, is it possible to get a 35 black togo leather birkin with gold hardware? I heard we have to order and wait?

    • Anonymous October 20, 2013 Reply

I am currently overseas now on vacation. I checked all over Europe and was told there was a wait list. I am in South Asia now and was told the same thing. I was in Siam Paragon yesterday and all they had was the elvelyn and the jypserie on display. In KL, Malaysia absolutely nothing. Also in KL staff is very snooty. My husband and I weren’t even greeted when we walked in or when we exited. Hopefully Singapore will have something for me to purchase.

My advice would be to place yourself on a wait list in the US. Or you may buy one on eBay. Good luck!

      • Alex October 21, 2013 Reply

Thanks for your advice! The Birkin is hard to get, because there is much more demand than supply.

Anybody familiar with the store in Milan? Bought some stuff ( a pair of gloves and 2 handbags) and still not getting kelly/birkin. They told me that I need to order it and the order list only opens in January or February next year. They were lying right? Because I saw some SAs showed Kelly/Birkin discreetly to other customers. sigh :( I already have almost 10 hermes handbags ( including lindy and jypsiere) and I am still not getting the K and the B. Im getting disappointed with Hermes.

    • Alex October 16, 2013 Reply

You have 10 Hermes bag but still hunting for the Kelly and Birkin? Did you buy your bags in the same boutique? If so, the SA will remember you and I think they will show you the Kelly/Birkin if they’ve stock.

      • Anonymous October 22, 2013 Reply

        Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, no. I started buying from one of the stores in the US, and then she put my name in the ‘list’. Waited for more than a year already, heard nothing from her. So I gave up on her.

Now I am in Milan, thought of trying to get one here since I will be around for a few months. Bought handbags again, a sweater and also a rose gold bracelet. She put me in the ‘list’ again, but I am really not sure how long I need to wait :( or wonder if it is ever going to happen…. or they just took my name, giving me false hopes and make me buy more from them.

        • Alex October 23, 2013 Reply

Sorry to hear that, I think it all about building relationship with the right SA and having some luck. I can understand your frustration.

        • Anonymous December 19, 2013 Reply

True my friend. U have to build up a relationship with A store, then only you can choose any colors available before the store give to others in the waiting list.
How to build up a relationship? Buy at least 1 item each month or if u can afford, buy an item each week

          • Gi GI December 20, 2013

What items we need to buy as I have noticed that they will not count the leather products to count on your spending.

do you know the price for lindy 26 togo and clemence at Europe?
and whats the different between togo and clemence?

    • Alex October 13, 2013 Reply

Hi, I check the prices, but I only have the recent datas of the lindy 30.

      Togo is priced at: €4.550
      Clemence is priced at: €4.780

The lindy 26 is just a bit cheaper. I hope you can use this as a good indication.

More, it’s hard to tell the difference, the clemence is a bit heavier than the togo. It’s softer and the color is more saturated.

    HI Alex,

I have my heart set for Lindy 30, bi-color. I have some questions.

I’m going to Korea, Aus, Europe, the end of this year. Do you know where would be the cheapest? I’m US citizen.

Is is hard to score a Lindy 30? I don’t want to buy lots of unnecessary items to be offered a bag…considering I’m not looking for a K or B.

    Is bi-color hard to get??

Which leather do you recommend for Lindy? some are easy to scratch…and I want one that is less maintenance since I think a Lindy bag should be a more causal daily use bag.

    Thanks a lot!!

    • Alex September 12, 2013 Reply

Sophie, Europe no doubt, that’s the cheapest place to buy (even sometimes included with tax). And certainly Australia is not the cheapest place to shop. I think Clemence is the perfect leather because its slouchy and soft and it match to the design. And Clemence is easier to maintain than swift. You are right the Lindy should be an everyday bag. We usually heard that the K and B are hard to find, but not the Lindy. What do you think?

That’s a tough question, you see, even if Hermes has the bag in store, they might want to save it for their best customers. The birkin is limited in supply and there is a huge demand.

Hi Yenny, usually the Birkin and Kelly are nowhere to be found. But other Hermes bag are available in store. It really depends on what you are looking for, is the Hermes Herbag you #1 choice?

Hi Alex, thanks for your reply. Yes, Herbag is my #1 choice because I cant afford to buy the Kelly / Birkin bag :( maybe one day.

        • Alex September 9, 2013 Reply

I don’t think you will have difficulty finding the Hermes Herbag bag, this bag is famous for looking similar like the kelly bag. You know that the original version of the herbag bag is discontinued right, the new one is called the Hermes Herbag Zip bag and was released in 2009. The price in Europe for the MM is around €1.800 – €1.900. I am crossing my fingers for you and keep us informed =).

The problem with Birkin is that there is more demand than supply, so you need to talk to the SA whether they have in stock. Some people are on the waiting list. Usually you can’t find Birkin on airports. If you read our comments, Lisa bought the Birkin in Paris not long ago.

I am planning to get Herbag MM and I’m still not sure which color should I go for… probably orange?

Is it possible to find it in stores or in LHR or Paris airport? Can I go in and ask for it or it’s hard to get as the birkin?

P.S.: I added my name to the waiting list in my country and they told me I will wait for 2 years and a half? For a Herbag!!!! (I didn’t specify any exact color, i gave them many options)

I want a Kelly as well. but not yet sure if I can afford it or not in Paris or London?

I would appreciate ur help and advices.

Hi Noor, 2.5 years? That’s like… ‘forever’! That’s not even the Birkin. But the Birkin is very hard-to-find, you could be lucky and the SA might take one out of their stock. They have Hermes in heathrow airport, but no Birkin and kelly, stock is very limited. They also have a Hermes store in CDG Airport Paris, last time spotted they had Lindy, So kelly, slg and other accessories like scarves… in stock.

Herbag bag in orange and black are nice. Keep us about your journey =).

The Bleu de Galice is a new color from the 2013 collection, the two colors are actually almost identical. Hope this helps!

I spend $$ flying over to Asia and is going to pay almost a double for a bag ! I must tell myself not to be so crazy.

          • Alex July 28, 2013

Hi Gigi, I actually agreew with you. You are already spending $9,000+, why not just buy it from the Hermes store.

          • Anonymous July 23, 2013

There are lots in Hong Kong, you can choose color u like, all u need is to be willing to pay a premium, and you don’t have to deal with all the sales or spend extra on things that you don’t want.

    • Alex July 7, 2013 Reply

Hi Ms C, GHW stands for gold hardware, PHW stands for Palladium hardware. Palladium has the same color like silver hardware.

The best ‘classic’ color for the Birkin is either black, orange, Rouge. According to SA, black is the most picked color. But you already have the Kelly, what do you think about orange and rouge?

One of our member ES (in the comment sections) reported to have bought the Birkin 35 in Paris. (date 28 June), they are available. You need to try the local stores, not the airports.

          • Gigi July 8, 2013

Yes. I know we can fly over to Paris to buy the bag but it is thousand miles away from my home which is locating in Asia.

I am feeling that Hermes has set up certain stand or ranking to classifying the customers. If you a regular customer, you must spend at least certain amount of $$ in yearly basis and they will classify you as VIP and will call you and tell you that there is stock available.

Here, there is a tycoon who can buy 6 to 7 pieces of Hermes birkin every quarter for his girlfriends as present and he sends birkin as gift to his staff. If the policy applies to each customer can only buy one birkin every 6 months, then how come this tycoon can buy so many….

            Unfair !!

          • Alex July 9, 2013

Hi Gigi, that sounds very true. Sometimes it seems like it depends on the mood of the SA. If you are social and nice to them, they might turn around and take out a Birkin for you.

        • Ina July 10, 2013 Reply

Tried store in Paris on 29th by the way. Was told nothing available. Tried stores in Cannes. Same thing. But some one walked in day after and was offered 2. It’s not luck, it’s who ever SAs know and like. They are given this power to judge customers and discriminate at their discretion. Walked in to Chanel. Asked nice SA for a certain hard to get model, no problem 2 days later she called and offered it to me. So different. Hermes is very unfair.

What is a Birkin 35 Togo stands for ?? Is Togo a special type of leather and the sales associate said that this is a better type of leather !!!

    • Alex July 3, 2013 Reply

Gigi, two most common picked leathers are clemence and togo. Togo is the skin of an adult bull and Clemence from a younger one. Generally Togo holds better shape, but both are gorgeous. And your choice depends on your personal preference. But for bigger bags I would pick togo (for the shape).

    • gigi July 3, 2013 Reply

      Thank you Alex.

It seems all of the Hermes’s fans are hunting for their own dreams. I just do not understand why it is so unfair for the customers around the world. • ES July 4, 2013 Reply

Hi Gigi, I had a stopover at Frankfurt and I went to the Hermes store at the airport. The SA told me that it is impossible to get Birkin at any airport store. However, it is cheaper by 16% (VAT refund for foreigners and they give you back in cash with min purchase of euro 15) if you want to buy other things like scarves, bangles etc. Well, no harm trying!

      • Burg babe July 4, 2013 Reply

Hi Gigi, I just had productive shopping spree while on transit in Copenhagen. The airport shops do not get any birkins or kellys as a matter of policy, so there is little point even asking. Dear Sassy, Finally got my first Birkin in Paris. Indeed hard to get, was just plain lucky. Can’t refused when the SA showed me – Birkin 35 in Veau Barenia – light brown leather color. This is a smooth leather, the one they use for Hermes Saddles. SA said this is vintage piece (it is brand new but history goes a long way back) and they even display one in their Museum (anybody heard of Hermes Museum??). Unfortunately it will be hard to maintain as it scratches easily but it is surprisingly it is water proof. Does anyone know how to protect and maintain it? Is there a polish or leather spray I can put on to prevent scratches. Price is euro 7250 in case u are interested to know. How I wish she showed me a Togo or Epson. Thanks

    • Walter June 29, 2013 Reply

It seems to be waisted to sell a Barenia to such a stupid person. All those scratches are giving the bag the perfect patina. There are just a few in the world ( I do have one since years) so be happy to own one. And it is Not waterproof…tzz

Hiii ES, do you have any IDEA how luck you are!!! 80% of the people who go to Paris will never find the Birkin. Jealous Jealous!!!

The Hermes Museum is located in Paris, but it’s very private and not open for the public. You can only go there if you know someone who works for Hermes and can arrange an appointment.

For cleaning the Birkin, be very careful. I do not recommend using any spray or products unless the Hermes SA recommends. Use something simple and light like a Damp sponge or Microfiber cloth. And the dustbag is very helpful too. If your Birkin needs a big clean-up or repair, just take it back to the boutique and get a spa treatment or full refurbishment. It’s the best way to keep your Birkin fresh and alive.

Can you also tell us which Birkin store you went?

      • ES June 30, 2013 Reply

It’s the flagship store in Paris. I am indeed blessed with the Barenia.

Birkin is so hard to get, people buy them brand-new and then sell them on Ebay or in consignment store. It’s unfair for hermes fans like us. But if Birkin is really your dream bag then you can either buy used or new in re-sellers (they also sell for premium price). For Birkin I would only buy from consignment stores with good reputation.

Love your post. I’m from HK, just got back from a trip to Europe. Went to stores in Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Venice and Rome in search for Kelly, lindy and constance. But no luck at all! :(. In fact, I had also been to Singapore, Macau, Taipei, and Shanghai. It is almost impossible to get any bags in the Asian big cities! So I really envy those of you who can walk out with a Birkin or Kelly. Do you just ask for it or do you buy lots of other things before asking for a bag? Only saw a few garden party and one jypsiere in all the European stores I went to lat two weeks of May.

Finally had some luck in NYC this week. Just got a Clemence Lindy 30 USD 6700 before tax. They still have a few lindys in 30 and 34 in stock.

I always have luck in Las Vegas at the Crystals in City Center BUT to answer your question, I always shop for other things. I’ve never just got to see something for nothing. I feel it is better to shop for a handbag when you need other items. I would rather more H accessories and a new handbag from the store than pay a premium to a reseller. This strategy only worked at one location in Paris though. And, I already had what they offered.

Crystals in Las Vegas is just fun to go to anyway if you have no luck. The new Dior is Fab and they will still use texing for shopping. H stopped a few years ago.

      Good Luck!

        Hi Maudern,

Thanks for the tip. Had tried the strategy in some of the Asian stores. Picked up a few scarves, ties and even some plates. But didnt work. I wonder how much I have to buy before asking the magic question. Maybe like you said, it only works in Paris. Will give it a try next time. Haven’t had the chance to go Paris.

        • Maudern June 20, 2013 Reply

Make the trip to Vegas Crystals. Everyone is represented there. That is my lucky charm. There are 3 H stores in Vegas if Crystals doesn’t pan out.

    • Alex June 21, 2013 Reply

Hi Qiqi, I understand your situation in HK and other Asian countries. Many famous designer handbags are sold-out everywhere especially the classics. With Hermes and Celine handbags, you can’t really pick your color, you are lucky if they have stock. Did you get the style you want?

      • Qiqi June 21, 2013 Reply

        Hi Alex,

The Celine situation has improved in HK. It is easy to just walk in and buy a luggage or trapeze. There is no more waiting list in HK. Hermes is the only one that is impossible in Asia.

I had been lucky with Birkin. It is Kelly that has been giving me heartache.

        • Alex June 22, 2013 Reply

I heard a few weeks ago that Hermes has wiped out the waiting list in France. But I read an article on Forbes that re-sellers are massively buying Birkin sand selling them for premium price at their stores. Is this true?

        • Anonymous December 8, 2013 Reply

Hi qiqi, i reckon u are aware the many resellers in HK r very well stocked with birkins and kellys. Eg milan station, vip station and brand off, all 3 have a good selection. I was at milan sterlier, a lady eevn asked for. 30cm Birkin in coc, and the SA just whipped one out from behind his counter, a beautiful matt light brown croc. Theres like ten other Bs and Ks on the shelves too. Well. Thr prices are generally 20-25 pct more than what u geat Hermes. And possibly get 10-15 discount from their inflated prices. Nett, u would proaby b paying some 10-15 more than at Hermes, depending on the bag.

      • Anonymous June 19, 2013 Reply

I tried both 28 and 31. 28 was cute and young while 31 seemed more practical for me. I will post the pic later but I don’t have a 28 to compare. The color I bought was Etain. It’s grey with no brown undertone, a bit different from Etoupe.

Etain is a nice and practical color. I find 28 too small too, not enough room for everyday bag. I am looking forward for the 31 pics =D

hi there! yes, I had amazing experience at Hermes Lyon when the SA took out a Hermes Herbag which was not on display and asked if I was interested… sold the bag since but had amazing experience from the Lyon store… trick is to chat with the SA and be friendly.. then out comes the treasure :) friendly and much better service than Paris store..

I love the SA at the Lyon store too. I feel so sorry that I didn’t ask for her name, but she was a young lady with long brunette hair. I took a pic with her though.

I’ve heard that it’s difficult for the SA to show you the bags from their storage, but that didn’t happen to me at all. I went into the store, knowing which lines I wanted to try on. The experience at the store was great. Everyone was friendly and smiling. Actually, I had been to the store one day earlier when it was closing. So, I just popped my head in and took a quick look. I saw one Jypsiere and on Evelyn, the models I was looking for. So, next day when the Jypsiere wasn’t on the shelf, I asked for it. (The SA who took care of me was not the same one I met before.)

So, in all, I’ve got to try on 4 bags (two evelyns and two jypsieres) and she even let me walk around the store with a bag on while waiting for another one.

I had great experience. (Before the Jypsiere, I had been a loyal customer of LV in my country. I’m so close with the SA that when she thinks a model that’s perfect for me if coming, she will call me and keep it to let me see first, before putting on shelf. But, the Lyon Hermes store experience, comparing to what I’ve heard about Hermes, was a really pleasant surprise.)

it comes in…do you mind giving me birkin material 101 & prices
want the 30 or 35 clemence with palladium hardware undecided

Hi hi, thanks for stopping by. Love your compliment!

      Let’s see, the Birkin right?

I think you already know a bit what you want. The Hermes in Clemence. If you want your Birkin to be functional, I would settle on the 35. It’s btw the size that a lot of people choose. Not too big and not too small. As for the colors, the safest as it can get, especially because this is your first, would be black. But you can also go to other neutral colors like taupe or beige. It’s best to choose a color that can blend to your wardrobe.

      where are you from btw?

      • wantbirkinSTAT June 10, 2013 Reply

Thank you so much for getting back to me :-)

So I am definitely leaning towards a black birkin….boring..yes!
BUT safe & will surely compliment everyday wardrobe as you
mentioned, they have so many fun colors can’t wait to experiment!

        I am from Northern California.

Do you mind giving me price ranges for a B35 in Clemence with
palladium hardware….doesn’t have to be exact just a ball park
figure (would like to know what kind of trouble I’m getting into)
        😉 LOL

Also…how tough is it REALLY to walk into a Hermes & walk out with
a Birkin? I’ve read a lot of crazy things online & specific store views….
its a little discouraging :-/ any advice/tips/suggestions for my
        upcoming Hermes store visit?

Thanks a bunch! & have a blessed day Miss. Sassy

Birkin 35 Clemence is around $10,000 USD. But Birkin and Kelly are always a mystery, you never know what you will find in the boutique. So you walk in and they might have your birkin in different color and hardware. You are buying in USA right?

          • wantbirkinSTAT June 11, 2013

Hi sassy, I am from Macau and I am going to paris and milan tomorrow. I just wanna ask is it easy to buy a herbag, lindy or birkin in the retail shop over there?

How big is the chance you think?

    • Author
      sassy.bag June 6, 2013 Reply

From experience, the herbag and lindy is much easier. But the Birkin is tougher and especially in the colors and leather than everybody wants. The Birkin is always a mystery, you never know what you get until you step into the store.

Chances to get the Herbag and Lindy is much greater. I think Milan you will get more lucky, maybe give the shop a call to see what they have in stock.

      • Male H fan December 9, 2013 Reply

Was in milan during summer in august. A huge dissapointment at the main Hermes boutique. Only 4 Evelynes for display only and a men’s Barda which was the only leather bag on sale. I got the Barda so basically no other leather bag u could buy then. And i had thought being the fashion capital of the world, they would b much better stocked than that.

        • Sassy.bag December 10, 2013 Reply

I feel you, imo Paris has better stock, Milan is disappointing, even with designer brands like Chanel.

Hello Sassy, I mean is that possible to walk in Hermes boutique in Madrid and ask for Birkin? I find quite opposite comments about this. Some say there are good inventory which are not on hold for anyone. Some comment Birkin is only reserved for VIP/Regular like the rest of the Hermes in other city.

Any experience for sharing? I would normally travel to Madrid twice a year.

Hi Christy, you can walk into Hermes and walk away with it (after you paid of course), but there are some styles and leathers that are limited and they won’t be available in the boutique, you need to get in the waiting list. But you can try to walk into the boutique and see what you can find.

Hi LMG, Birkin can be tricky, because they have range of prices in different leather and styles. Also many consignment store have them selling in higher prices like in Asia. The Birkin 40cm is a large size, spot one in Togo for €7050. Where are you from btw?

And the Birkin 35 cm in togo €6500 in Italy. Clemence is the same price.

Can youbtell me what my chances are to get a black box and if not available anymore what my best other option is. I love the authentic luster of black box, cannot understand why such an authentic appearance would not be part of their ongoing collection. Hope you can give me some perspective.

Hi Nat, hard to say. It very strange indeed. I have been hearing WEEKS/MONTHS that the Chanel PST has been discontinued. Then one of our BMB followers dropped an email telling she spotted the PST in JAPAN!!!??? So I would say that Japan is another world alright.

There are several options you can take:
      1. check out consignment stores, especially in Asia, some of them just buy Birkin to retail for higher price. And belief me, they have stock.
      2. Keep calling Birkin where ever you go.

Wait, where are you from actually?…

      White with GHW is heavenly!!

Hi, so i ruened down the white birkin and I got birkin 35 in cappucines, its one of the hermes new color. At first its more like a red with an orange tone but now it turns more onto deep orange. Anyway my kelly 32 is a classic orange and my lindy is white. Confused whether or not i should sell this birkin and get a rose lipstick color or something else. Oh yes the price for birkin togo 35 is €6800 and b30 togo is €6400, epsom 35 is €6500. Hope it helps

Hi Lisa, thanks for the amazing information you are sharing to the community!!!

BTW, do you use your birkin 35 in cappucines often that it changed color? Or too much under the sun????

          • Lisa May 2, 2013

Sassy, no it doesn’t change color. I mean when i first saw it at the hermes store maybe it is the lighting that now when u wear it and the sun hits it it looks more onto deep orange. Anyway, do u think cappucines is a good color or should i just sell and get another color?

I saw the rose lipstick, it’s super cute. But your color (the deep orange one) is a classic color. So if I am right, you felt in love with the rose lipstick right? BTW, do you like the Birkin in deep orange, or you’ve doubts?

I only have in pounds, but based on my experience, the prices in pounds and euro’s are relatively similar. So just change the currency and you will have a good estimate:

      Togo Eclat £3,710 GB

I live in London. Where would I be able to buy a Kelly 25/28 bag in black our navy(cheapest material) from? I read that it is almost impossible to buy them and there is a 6 month waiting list..
    Thankss :):):)

Hi Lisa, the kelly bags are really hard to know. They are pretty much ‘hard to get’ and you do have to be in the waiting list. But I also know that some luxury stores/consignment stores or some individuals purposely buy these bags to make a profit. They usually post them on Ebay or other online sites. The prices are bit higher, if you don’t want to wait you might want to surf around the internet.

Is it true that the Club Birkin (the striped one) is only for VIPs? I have read and heard about this. The price for the Club that was said above was “Club: $11,870 USD” was that the 2012 price and I’m assuming that is without tax. I don’t quite understand what was written above ” Birkin Clemence: HK$10,902 USD
Clemence: $8,557 USD”. How much is a clemence in HK dollars?

Yes, the Club Birkin striped one is reserved for the VIP. About the price clemence in HK, I just checked it: birkin clemence HK$84500 for the 35 Birkin.

Im thinking to get my first kelly when i travel to Europe next month, im just wondering is it cheaper to get it from FSH and do i get 10% tax refund back at the airport, for example if i wanna get the kelly 32 togo retourne which cost $6100ish, so i get $610 back at the airport?

      sassy.bag February 13, 2013 Reply

omg, I am very excited for you! If you are a non-EU then you can get a tax-refund at the airport. You can even get tax-refund at affiliate companies within the country you are in. (btw where are you going anyway). Make sure you ask for two documents that is needed to file a tax-refund. These documents consist of details about your product. Prices around Europe are very consistent, the most important is the 10%.

Yes you get 10% refund back, depending on which country. Some have higher VAT taxes so it will be a bit more.

Here are some more information: It’s about Chanel, but applies also on all designer bags. Hope this help.

Hi Amy, is the constance you are looking for listed in this article? Which one specific are you looking for and in what currency? I have never heard about buying first and then waiting list. I don’t think it’s true.

        • Alex October 18, 2014 Reply

Hi Fiehuang, tax-refund in Europe for tourist is around 12 – 14 percent, generally in Italy you get 14 percent. Like everywhere, the Kelly is not easy to find. Are you going to europe anytime soon?

      sassy.bag February 7, 2013 Reply

Yes and No. In some seasons they are plenty available in stock. Other times you can’t find them even when you call the all the Hermes stores in your state. The best option you have is to ask a SA to put you in the list.

It’s great that someone here has contact to get hold of the bags which are much sought after by many. I’m interested in the Bamboo / Blue Paradise K28. Are u able to provide more info on these bags?

  188. Anonymous January 1, 2015 Reply

    Are your prices accurate??
Because today I was in Netherlands Hermes and the garden party large size was 2650 euros and they told me tomorrow they will raise prices again

But the price you wrote on the site for the large garden party is a lot lower ?

  189. Melissa January 2, 2015 Reply

Price increase again? It will never stop! These prices are as accurate as possible, we update them every two months or so. The price of the Garden Party depends on the material, but if they are going to increase tomorrow, we will very soon get the information.
