hey, to give you an idea of price increases, i bought the Celine Mini Luggage in smooth black on 08 October 2011 for 1250 EUR INCLUDING tax. This was from avenue Montaigne in Paris. I still have the reciept if you dont belive me :p
Thsi is THE BEST bag ever! I know people are hesitant to buy the smooth not the pebbled, i reccomend the smooth! For a big bag its so much more chic. It wears well – you can use it everyday no problem – its gets what we call a patine which adds to its charm. the only this is DO NOT let it get wet – this make it loose its shape 10 times as quick!! I carry a big plastic bag in the inside pocket of mine so i can put it in it if i get caught out!

Check Celine in Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, it’s 2 minutes with the tram from central station and 5 minutes walking. We find Amsterdam has less demand, so the chance are greater. Let us know how it went.

Hi Vera, the Celine trapeze was €1,750 in February 2013, I assume the price is the same unless there’s a price increase. However, the price $2,800 USD is exclusive tax, in which state are you going to buy the bag? Unless the state doesn’t enforce sales tax, you need to pay tax. And as far as I know, there’s no refund on sales tax.

Its the small model i think and its not a special leather as far as i know. It looks like normal laeter and suede. The color is total light beige, they said its the new collection but i saw this one on a blog in february. I am in new york.

I’m contemplating buying the celine cabas bag. I’ve got a mini shopper and a trapeze so my at budget is a little low right now! I saw it at the boutique but felt the leather was really thin so I was a little unsure. What do you guys suggest? Do you think it’s slightly on the flimsy side? I usually dump everything I own in my bag and I don’t want a bag which might be flimsy. Please helpppppp
You already got two of the iconic, the cabas should be an extra. The leather is very soft and supple. I don’t think you can overload the cabas, it has a maximum 5 kilo limit weight, overload it and the leather will stretch.
One of my friends is in Florence & another one in Milan…I am torn between the luggage or the Trapeze…mind letting me know what’s the dimensions for micro & nano? Wondering if they have stock now.

Sorry if this is redundant, I was reading through all the comments, but as it’s 3 am and I’m off to Europe bright and early, I didn’t make it through all…I live in NYC but often buy bags abroad, to get duty free. This upcoming trip I’d hoped to look for a Celine (luggage, maybe medium? honestly I’m not super familiar with Celine) – is there a difference between buying in Paris vs. London? Aside from options and all that, but is pricing better? I recently got a YSL in Paris since it was actually cheaper than in London, but don’t know if that applies to Celine, despite being a French brand as well…

No, generally the prices are all the same, but it’s a bit cheaper because of the currency differences. Generally you can get 12% tax-refund too.
Ah yes, that’s why I often buy bags abroad (tax refund) – so London and Paris pricing really won’t have much of a difference?
