Proenza Schouler is a young company when compared to the legendary luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and CHANEL. Founded by two extraordinaire designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez in 2002, the label’s name is inspired by the maiden name of both mothers.
The duo designers have received several awards since its establishment; first in 2004 the inaugural CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award, then in 2007 the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award and the second CDFA award was granted to them in 2011. The accomplishments are well deserved as they are the fruit of their hard work.
Their most timeless bag is the Proenza Schouler PS1 Satchel, its fame is comparable to Mulberry’s Alexa Satchel. The best experience of the PS1 Satchel is that it’s crafted from luxurious material and it holds shape. The functionalities are almost the same.
The legendary department store Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris will open an exhibition dedicated to the fabulous achievements of the designer duo Proenza Schouler. The openings date will start from 22 February, just three days before the Fashion Week in Paris.
Proenza Schouler will be presenting their most iconic fashion pieces that have been developed throughout the years, they will also reveal their secrets and muses that inspired them to design these collections. The key bag models are the PS1 and the PS11 in new shades and other prêt-a-porter/ accessories like hats, scarves and so on. But what we are sharing is just the tip of the iceberg.
