Hi Helena, I am not sure about the re-sell value, but Mulberry has been around longer. Your decision should be based on the leather, some Alexa leathers don’t hold shape. I find PS1 better because of the superior quality in leather.
Color for PS1: brown, gray or black
Color for the Alexa: brown
These color are safest for re-sell and most practical for daily use.
Cheapest country: UK/EU if you are eligable for the tax-refund.
Hihi, can I find out if it will be cheaper to get the satchel bag in Europe and if yes, which countries in Europe?
Can I also ask if the ps satchel bag weighs lighter/heavier than mulberry satchel bags in comparison?
I love the satchel bags because they are so gorgeous but I’m wondering if I should get a ps version or mulberry version. Any advice? Thanks a lot. 🙂
Hi Zhentoutao, I am not sure where you are from. But if you are from Asia, then buying Europe can be cheaper. (Prices in europe are all the same, regardless of the VAT rate differences).
I am not sure what style you are looking for, but the Mulberry Alexa has more of a vintage appeal (the iconic postman’s lock), while the Proenza Schouler PS1 looks more trendy and modern. But from personal experience the PS1 has a better quality leather, it feels more luxurious and soft. And with the Alexa, you need to nail down to the right leather, there complains about ‘not holding shape’. So where are you from?

I am pretty new to these luxury brands and have zero experience choosing bags.
From experience I know that bags in Singapore are more expensive, buying in europe is much cheaper.
