Design

We can’t just wait to praise more and more about its looks, the way gussets can wing out like a luggage tote, the cute slouchy look of this not-too-structured bag, zipped top and magnetic back pocket. This minimalistic bag is less structured than the SDJ (Sac De Jour) bag and thus its slouchier , keep its shape and is a tad more relaxed. Instead of large YSL logo in its exterior the bag is subtler with the small logo lettering in the top centre of the bag.

The small size has handles that are little too short, thus fitting much easier over the crook of your arm, being handheld the bag looks too damn cute. The larger version fits much easier over the crook of my arm, except for its large enough to fit everything and hard enough to carry. Medium size is a better shape but too heavy as well as big for a petite frame, Moreover, this classic addition comes from timeless solid colours, so if you travel a lot than this thing is the best. For versatility, the bag does come with a detachable shoulder strap.

Slouchy shape- it bothers some, especially if the size is smaller. As the small size looks too triangular from the sideways (almost like a Hershey’s kiss) and the base is too wide as compared to the top, the Cabas Rive Gauche falls way too awkwardly when worn cross body.

Interior

Not a huge fan of small space? Well this one is just made for you. The Saint Laurent Cabas Rive Gauche bag is spacious enough to put all your essentials in style. The bag is more practical because it’s light and secure. If we compare it to SDJ then the bag is lighter. It opens wider to unveil a soft suede lining, interior zip pocket and two slot pockets for organization of your stuff.
