How Do You Store Your Chanel Handbag?

I noticed I have yet to write a post about how to store your Chanel bag, so I decided to go ahead and fill that void. If any of you are anything like me you most likely treat your Chanel handbags like they’re your babies.

You’re probably extremely cautious and try your ultimate best to take proper care of your handbag(s). As soon as I get back from going out, I put my handbag back in a safe place. To me a safe place constitutes of a place where the bag is at no risk of getting hurt.

If you’re one who doesn’t take proper precautions with storing your Chanel handbag you’re at risk of chain imprints, hand imprints, and/or color changes. These horrors aren’t too apparent at first, but they’ll begin to show themselves after a few years. With the help of this post, hopefully these things won’t happen to you.

It’s quite easy to care of your Chanel handbag. Here are a few tips that will keep you from regretting carelessness.

Tip #1: Always put your Chanel handbag back in the original felt case. When placing it back in its case, be sure to wrap the bag in tissue paper. Also, make sure to place the chain strap inside of the bag to prevent imprinting on the leather.

Tip #2: Do NOT overstuff your handbag. I cannot stress this tip enough. Some ladies like to carry around almost everything they own in their handbag. This is a complete no-no. This type of treatment stretches the bag. Once the bag has been stretched so many times, it will be impossible for it to go back to its normal size and look. I know it may be hard for a few of it, but not overstuffing your bag will be beneficial in the long run.

Tip #3: Keep your handbag tanned. By visiting a tanner regularly the leather will stay alive and soft. Also be sure to keep your leather away from water, perfume, and make-up.

Tip #4: if you have a light color Chanel bag such as beige or light white, make sure to avoid dust. Try not to brush up against things that would leave marks on you bag. It’s difficult getting out stains in safe manner.

Tip #5: Avoid placing your bag in direct light. As with the last tip, white bags are extremely vulnerable to over exposure to light. If constantly done, your white Chanel bag could turn into a yellow one.

With these tips you should have no problem in giving your Chanel handbag the longevity it deserves. It’s as simple as just placing the bag back in its original case. What’s so hard about that? Even when the handbags are still in the store, the employees place the chain inside of the bag to prevent damage. So, if the shop follows these protocols, why not you?

Also be sure to place your documents in a safe place. In years to come, it’ll prove that you, indeed, have purchased an authentic Chanel handbag.
