And we? We didn’t belief it in the first place, but its true and it’s going to happen.
What Chanel is about to do, is like a big typhoon, shaping everything what we consider as common in the shortest time possible.
Well, what is Chanel going to do in 2015?
They are going to be huge changes in Europe and Asia, Chanel is going to restructure their handbag prices. So how about that huh?
Chanel will start with our three favourite Chanel handbags, the Chanel Classic flap Bag, The Chanel 2.55 Reissue Flap Bag and the Chanel Boy Bags. The price in Europe will start to increase and decrease in Asia, starting at 8th April 2015.
One of the reasons for the price changes is because of the drop in value of the euro. Chanel bags in some Asia countries are literally retailing twice as expensive as in Europe. And to narrow this gap, Chanel has decided to harmonized the prices, and not only the bags, as well as other products as well.
The objective is to get it done in the end of 2015 and that the prices will not fluctuate more than 10% below or above the global euro price.
The new policy is already applied, Hong Kong and China prices has already ben reduced by 20 percent, while 8th April the prices will increase by 20% in Europe.

Chanel’s new prices will significantly narrow the gap. The company said that the bag is set to rise 20% to €4,260 under the new policy. The ticket for the same bag in China is set to fall 21% to around 30,000 yuan. Prices will also decline in Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam and Russia. Meanwhile, the price in the U.S. will remain unchanged at $4,900. And it’s beginning April 8.

Hi, just rung chanel store in perth Australia. The Chanel WOC quilted leather both cavier and lambskin is now $2560 due to the harmonisation. Price has decreased.
Brazil will not change in prices, because of the high export taxes.

Got Jumbo Classic Flap in Caviar GHW back in Mid May in Paris, Chanel Cambon store. At least 10 people waiting in line for a SA at 10:30 am. For all the ladies out there searching for your Chanel, get there early in the morning!

I know there are rumors about the GST being continued. Is it just in the United States or worldwide? If it’s still available does anyone know the availability of it in Asia? Specifically Japan or Hong Kong. And what would the price of it be?

As of Japan. My hubby saw one at Heneda Airport for $2600 ( duty free) with peach / white color. And none is in Tokyo area ( but I saw some at consignment store as state ” Brand new”. As of yesterday an SA helped me said they have 2 at Osaka. But they won’t ship from store to store. So good luck. The price is 337000 yen plus tax.
Hi Alex, am in Paris right now, been here more than a week already. We found one boy bag old medium black caviar with ghw at 31 rue cambon (last one), mini flap all sold out everywhere in Paris so is black gst (2,700 euro) so is espadrilles :(. Oh yeah, we finally got an offer for a Birkin but it was in colvert color with palladium hdw sadly we declined their offer and since then we have no lucks of finding another :((((((((((((((( I can send you a pic of the birkin.

I know they will not re-stock anymore in the US, that’s why its sold-out everywhere. And the Espadrilles are always sold-out, very disappointing.

hi Alex, im heading BKK in 2 weeks time less. i am intending to get a boy chanel in medium with gold hardware there because i dont think i will ever get a chance to get it in SG :'( any idea of the prices in BKK of that bag? and should i be buying from airport or from their normal boutiques? any price difference and as for VAT, can i claim as well? if so, how many % any idea? thanks!
