The Goyard Vendome Bag was designed to compete against the Hermes Bolide Bag and Louis Vuitton Alma Bag. The original version was sized MM, which has been discontinued. Now there are 2 reissue versions – the Mini and the PM sizes. The bag is inspired by trunk-making, for example you can find details like Wooden Batons. The name Vendôme derives from a popular area in Paris, which is located in the centre of French Elegance. You can walk there to Goyard’s historic store in Rue Saint-Honore 233. This shop designed the first dome-shaped bag back in the early 20th century. So besides its beauty, this bag is part of the house’s history and is also considered a classic.
