While I was hunting for bags that looked interesting and distinctive, I came across the Paco Rabanne Le 69 Iconic bag. I heard about this bag before, it was re-released a couple years ago and I was more attracted to the price ticket than the design.

If you are not familiar with Paco Rabanne, he is a Spanish fashion designer, previously worked for Givenchy, Dior and Balenciaga before starting his own fashion house in 1966. The brand is known for their men’s perfume and making custome designs for films like Barbarella.

Obviously Le 69 stands for 1969, the date of birth of this bag. For the price of $10+, you get a handmade bag that’s 50% formed with calfskin and the other half with metal. The metal charms (a bunch of coins, buttons, keys and pins) are made by Judy Blame, a stylish famous for working with Celebrities like Kylie Minogue.

Now you know it all, let me hear your opinion. Would you drop $10k for this bag?

At Luisa via Roma for $10,400.
