Valentino Demilune Bag

Meet the new bag from Valentino, it’s called Demilune Bag and is released for the Fall Winter 2017 Collection. We want to talk about this bag because we think it has got a shot to become one of the house’s signature bags.

The name Demilune sounds complicated but it’s quite catchy. It’s actually used by French people in the early 18th century and it derives from the word demi-lune. This word means half-moon or in modern language: ‘half-circle’. We think the name is referring to the brand-new clasp with chain.

The Design

To create Demilune Bag, Valentino held back of implementing pyramid studs. The majority of this design is focused on smooth leather and solid color, which makes the bag timeless and classy. There are other version available with a lot of studs and prints, but if you want to go for the classic look, then pick the single colored handbag without too much noise or complicated implementations.

This bag looks feminine and super chic. It comes with a necklace-like chain for shoulder or cross body carry. The end of the chain is featured with a leather strap; this strap is adorned with more pyramid studs. The flap and the edges are refined with curvy design – this is truly a stunning flap bag.

The attention is all focused on the center because you’re looking at the new clasp. This clasp is made with a flip lock closure, with a half circle design supported by a thin beautiful chain. The sides of the clasp are crafted with two pyramid studs.

And there is more because the back comes with a back patch pocket for quick access to your important essentials.

This bag is available in scratch-resistance and impeccable calf leather.

Flip the bag open and you will find one large compartment for all your necessities. The interior is also made with suede lining and there is also a zip pocket and two patch pocket inside for structuring your essentials.
