You know when the Chanel Classic Flap Bag is too expensive and you’re looking for an alternative but discovered that the Chanel Easy Caviar Flap Bag is sold-out, or no longer in production.
That sucks!
But we have some great news. Those that are still on shopping-spree in Europe, the Chanel Easy Flap Bag was spotted in Paris last week but in lambskin. Here’s a message from Kimberly
‘Yes, its still available in Europe. I just bought the small black Chanel easy flap bag in Paris during the fashion week but the Chanel stores were cleaned out. I found it at the Chanel store in Galleries Lafayette. The price was 2460 euros (VAT Tax refund 410 euros)! I wanted silver hardware but they didn’t have it but the bag is beautiful!’.
What’s so special about this bag?
Well from the design perspective, the Easy Flap bag looks the closest to the iconic Classic Flap Bag without the huge price tag.

Cynthia I am pretty sure it is. It has all the characeristics of the easy flap (along with the price) and I know there wasn’t only the caviar version. The first easy flap that was ever made had a slightly different look and it was made with perforated lamb skin (if I am not mistaken). I believe that after the easy caviar, the easy flap design settled as it is now! And I bet we will see more leather/hw combinations in the future.
I have to tell you that it is MOST usefull and handy for a flap bag, for many reasons but mostly due to the zipper! And the medium size is devine. It has a longer chain strap so you can wear it crossbody. You probably know that the chain strap of the medium classic flap is not long enough for crossbody (unless you are petite). So if you want a classic flap but need to carry it crossbody then you must go Jumbo size, which is big and heavy (not to mention much more expensive)! So the medium easy flap is perfect (at least for me)! I am very very happy with my purchase!! 🙂
Hi Joan, your story is amazing, we’re going to feature it on our site. And its amazing to hear that the easy flap bag is made from aged calfskin, it gives a different look. We didn’t know for sure because the original style of this bag was called easy caviar. Its really gorgeous, do you mind sharing a pic of the inside?

This is not caviar. This is aged calfskin. It is the easy flap in aged calfskin with ruthenium hardware!!!!!
I bought this bag in the medium size, in Athens, Greece only a month ago. It costed 2770 euros.

Hi Joan, omg your bag, stunning! Are you sure this is the easy flap bag? The first version was called the easy caviar flap bag, but if they are making it in calfskin, it should be the new style.
