The Proenza Schouler 2013 Runway collection was one of the highlights of the New York Fashion week. I turned my head left, right and then back to left, I just can’t decide which bag is prettier than the other. But when the two young founders started to point their fingers at the pony hair lunch clutch, I instantly knew that there was something existing about it.
Sophisticated might not be the right term to describe these clutches, but in the perspective of design, it’s brilliant! Here’s a test, do you notice anything about the closure? Oh, you do? Yes, you got it right! It’s the exact same closure on the iconic PS1 bag.
If this clutch was all black, it might be too boring, no one would even notice it. The graphic print pattern really stands out, it creates an interest in people’s mind: ‘it’s a weird evening bag, but there’s something about it that grabs my attention’. This exactly how you should run your fashion, leaving marks behind while remaining mysterious. Available at Louis Via Roma for $1,150.
Polka dots are famous in the late nineteenth century and we don’t see it often in today’s fashion. But if it’s rare, then it certainly deserves our attention. At Luisa Via Roma for $1,150.
