The Sylvie Bag has come a long way. This bag was introduced a few years ago, but it became the modern icon bag of the Gucci. So what’s next?

Gucci reinterpret the handbag with vintage details. This new bag is called the Gucci Sylvie 1969 Bag because it’s embellished with signature Gucci shape from the 60’s and 70’s. To completely redesign the Sylvie Bag with famous elements from the past, the house searched for a lot of ideas in the archives. They wanted to create a bag that’s vintage, but it should also fit in today’s modern age.

The biggest changes made are the shape and the well-known blue-red ribbon has been removed as well. The lock stayed in the center, but the design has been altered as well. It’s thinner, which gives a more ladylike feel.

There are two ways to carry the bag thanks to the top handle and the detachable marina chain strap with 55 cm drop. The mini size is measured 20.5 x 15 x 6 (W x H x D) cm, priced at $3200 USD, €2500 EUR, £2220 GBP via Gucci boutiques.
