Our journey in discontinued bags take us to the Hermes collection, the Hermes Fourre Tout Bag. It have been discontinued since approximately in 2006. This bag is still on demand and can be bought in pre-owned condition on the internet. Last time I saw it was $295 in pretty good condition.

The Hermes Fourre tout comes in four sizes and I like the XL size the most, because with 6 exterior slip pockets you know that it’s made to be roomy. The XL size is measured 17’’ x 4’’ x 12’’ and probably can fit two 15’’ inch laptops, an iPad and some documents or magazines. The bag is made from canvas and is extremely durable. Just be sure you don’t buy the white one, canvas + white are not great combination for dirt.

Back in 2006, this bag was originally priced around 600 USD. A great travel bag, don’t you think?

p.s. If you are thinking about buying an Hermes and can’t afford a Birkin or Kelly, I think these choices are a good alternatives.
