The name reminds me of the fifty shades of grey, but the shoes are as sexy as hell! Christian Louboutin introduced for this fall a brand-new collection called ‘The Nudes’, consist of five classic styles and in five different shades, starting from rich chestnut to fair blush.

The idea behind the collection is versatility, Christian beliefs that a woman should own (at minimum) one pair of shoes in her wardrobe that has the same color as her skin. That way, her shoes can be playful and fits effortless to all of her outfit and styles. Just listen to what Christian Louboutin has to share: ‘These shoes disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette. It should not remove the attention away from the legs or what she is currently wearing, it should give her an extra lift’.

Specially made for this collection, a nude app is available for download at Louboutin website. With the App you can take a picture of your foot and it will systematically find the perfect shoes that match to your skin.

The Nudes are limited available. You can order them online or buy them in exclusive Louboutin stores only in Chicago, Miami, Horatio, Madison, Robertson, Geneva, Moun, Saint-Honore, Jean-Jacques Rouseau, Singapore, Sydney and Sao Paul. Price: $625.

  1. What do you think of the browner shades, will it still be as versatile as the lighter/ traditional nude? Or does one just now have a brown shoe?

    • I don’t think you can say the browner the less versatile. Because the color is based on a person’s skin tone. For people like myself, the traditional nude (which is for Caucasian (white) skin) is not versatile for me because its this big contrast of light color against my dark brown (Black) skin.
      Does that make sense?
Versatility of the various shades are simply based on a person’s skin color.

    • I’m sorry if I offended anyone, I mean the browner the shoes, the less versatile it is to match with different outfits and clothes. I do not meant the person’s skin. Sorry!

    • Thanks style & culture blog and sassy for your feedback! I got my brown shoes anyway and absolutely love them! It doesn’t match my skin color 100% (don’t think it’s supposed to!) but it’s great! I finally have that sleek leg lengthening look bc it matches my skin tone. Yes, it is brown, but I think it’s just as versatile as the traditional nude.

Can’t believe this is the first designer to have thought of this! Or are there others?
