When Chanel introduced the Classic Flap Bag with Metal Handle in the Fall Winter 2014 Collection, I was like: ‘Hmmm, almost but not quite yet’. It retailed for around €3.000, but I would rather invest in a classic Chanel Boy Bag. Now for the Spring Summer 2014 Collection, Chanel has just released a brand-new evening accessory; presenting the Chanel Metallic Clutch Bag with Handle.

So what is the difference?

The Clutch Bag with handle for the F/W 2014 Collection was based on the iconic Classic Flap Bag (you can instantly recognize its shape, diamond quilted patterns and the CC logo signature). The handle was made from pure metal.

The Chanel Metallic Clutch Bag for the SS2014 Collection is leaning more to the Chanel Clutch Bag (this clutch is from the permanent collection and is embellished with a shoulder strap. The color of the handle is linked to the shade of the bag.
