Mark Cross Downtown Bag

Last time we featured the Dorothy Bag, which is a beautiful curvy handle bag. Today we’re going to talk about the Mark Cross Downtown Bag, which is more like a doctor’s bag. But we also know that Mark Cross is famous for designing classic trunks, so it’s no surprise that this bag has a bit of vintage appeal.

The Design

The Downtown Bag is sleek and sophisticated. It’s made with a rectangle shape with sharp edges. However, the bag is very functional, practical and structured.

It’s called a Downtown Bag for a reason. But what I love the most is the shoulder-slinging to hands transition which is thanks to the interchangeable handles.

The cow leather is strong yet smooth, so it’s not needed to constantly baby it, which is also why it’s ideal to use as an everyday bag.

The strap is attached to a chic tag while the front is designed with a flap and a gleaming gold lock. The lock feels like their trunk-designs, very classy!

The Interior

The lock is a pushlock fastening and can be easily opened. Inside you will find two large compartments including a slot pocket and a zip pocket on the back.
