You know ‘Epi’ right?

Okay a quick re-cap then.

When you’re new, the first thing you learn about Louis Vuitton is the speedy bag and then the other iconic’s like the Neverfull in Epi leather or the Alma Bag in Epi leather.

But have you ever stopped and asked: ‘What is the story behind the Epi Collection?’

The Epi line has a rich history just like any classics, it was created in 1985, in response to the need for reliable, strong and durable leather for travelling. You must remember than Louis Vuitton was famous for designing luggage back in the early days. And to give a clear indication, the Noé bag and the Speedy bag were both introduced around 1932.

So what’s up with the Epi Electric? Is it the same leather?

No it’s not, in fact the ‘Epi Electric Collection’ was introduced in 2010. It got people excited – a new leather that is not only elegant, but gives an entirely new vibrant and refreshing feel apart from the classic Epi.

Now let’s turn back to the purpose of this post, this bag is named the Louis Vuitton Sevigne Clutch Bag. The Glossy Epi Electric leather brings a touch of glamour to your day or let is guide you through your evening affairs. ‘

It’s a small bag with a removable shoulder strap. Switch it into a modern clutch bag for the night-outs or special occasions. To give you an estimation of its size, this bag is measured 10.63’ x 1.97’ x 5.12’ inches (W x H x D).

Spotted and analyzed a couple of bags in my life, the silver vintage metal frame look quite similar to the design of Fendi Rush Clutch Bag or the shoulder bag. The big difference is in the leather and the shape, it’s so edgy.
