So what’s the story?

First, the V sign has been Nicolas Ghesquiere’s favorite since the day he took over the steering wheel of Louis Vuitton. He brilliantly searched in the archives of the house to look for inspiration and introduces beautiful handbags. One of the inspirations he got was the V symbol.

The Monogram V was first introduced for the Spring Summer 2015 Collection. It is inspired by the famous Louis Vuitton ads from the 1960’s. The Monogram Canvas easily mixes with the stylish “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez avec les Valises Louis Vuitton“ print.

The Monogram V is embellished in the Neverfull Bag, Speedy Bag and Pochette Accessories Bag. All three are iconic and have a long and rich history.

Next to the V symbol on the bag, there are words written. It reads: ‘Olez, Oguez, Oyagez Avex des Alises, Louis Vuitton’.
