I know it’s commonly agreed amongst ladies that your height determines the size of the handbag you wear. A Chanel maxi flap bag would definitely drown out a woman who stands in between 5’1” and 5’4”. It would be somewhat pointless for a lady who stands around 5’10’’ to wear a small flap bag.

The Chanel flap comes in four various sizes: small, medium, jumbo and maxi. For some, the jumbo size Chanel flap may seem more like a medium size handbag. When compared to side by side, the medium and jumbo sizes are a little difference in size, but not anything special. However, the size of the maxi is definitely stands alone. For a lady that stands at the average height of around 5’8” the Chanel small flap is flat out too small. You’ll see what I mean, when you stand with it in front of a mirror. The majority of us like to ability of carrying just about anything in our bags. With the Chanel small flap, this is not possible. Why make the investment without getting the ultimate experience?

On a lady of average height the Chanel small flap would make her look taller than what she is. Some of you may consider that to be a good thing, however. It may look and feel a bit awkward walking down the street with a mini Chanel bag on your shoulder.

…but, there is an alternative!

If you’re desperately looking for a small Chanel bag, the Chanel WOC (wallet on chain) is an awesome alternative. The style of the WOC is more acceptable as a small bag than the flap bag. Even its purpose—which is that of a wallet—is more fittingly small. The variations are very nice, compared to the small flap.

Overall, the Chanel small flap is ideal for a petite girl. Ladies of average size should maybe go with the jumbo or maxi size. However, the small flap has since been discontinued.
