Back in 2011, CHANEL proudly introduced a new flap bag; the Chanel 3 bag. I think it was called 3 because it has three separated compartments inside, just like the CELINE trio pouch. But the Chanel 3 bag released around the same time that the Classic Jumbo was switched from the single flap to the new double flap. And so everyone wondered: ‘Is the Chanel 3 bag going to be the new Classic jumbo flap?’.

The Chanel 3 bag is like all other classic; it’s quilted and embellished with the CC logo on the front. The shape of the flap is curved, inspired by Chanel’s 90s bags, but then modernized. And what you will love the most are the interwoven chain links, especially on the jumbo size. It’s supported with a leather strap for the comfort to carry on shoulder. Or you can use the top handle like a briefcase.

The jumbo size has a spacious interior, with three separated compartments to structure your essentials. The medium size look very much like the classic flap bags and it reminds be a bit of the long-forgotten Chanel east-west flap bag (I miss you…).
